Time Suck = VC Tulsa???
Oh the time-suck that is life and start-ups. We are looking to launch product on the 27th of April. Everyone here with a facebook account will be formally invited to the beta. I did want to take some time to lament about a discussion I had with a Venture Group in Tulsa. They are "focused on bringing technology and helping start-ups in Tulsa" Tell me what you think about this discussion.
Optimistic me: Facebook and other social networking sites are allowing developers and start-ups to capitalize on Social Media in an amazing new way through the use of widgets and gadgets. (pulling out ppt.) Shown here are the Valuations of start-ups presently taking advantage of this, and these are there daily revenues. This is the expected growth line and the leveling out of..........

Optimistic me: ? have you looked at the recent growth in targeted marketing on the web? and have you seen the trend away from traditional media....
VC: we just don't invest in companies with an online ad-based model
